Good but limited usage August 22, 2008 The brush cutter only works effectively if you use it at full speed and with a relatively fast movement to cut larger weeds. Don't expect to use it to do the same job as the trimmer, it won't cut smaller grass. The good thing is that this comes with a shoulder strap and an extra handle that really improve the handling of the machine (even for the trimmer). It is easy to switch to the trimmer but you might have to switch often if you have a mix of big weeds and smaller things to cut. I don't know if another blade would do better but the original blade does not seem very sharp. Protections are good and this remains a must have if you need to cut larger weeds that you can't cut with the trimmer.
Does the job July 28, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I haven't used this product long enough to give a definitive over view, however, it has done the job when I have used it. I have cut some small 1/8 inch out growth around trees, but I really like my Poulan Pro which starts easily and has this attachment which just slides on and then lockes in place. jstjr1
Terrifying to Use, but it Works December 18, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
My wife calls this tool "the decapitator". It terrifies her to see me using it on our overgrown brush. You definitely need to wear protective goggles, and keep the spinning blade away from your feet and shins. Otherwise, it works well at cutting away overgrown brush and young saplings. It's not suited for anything bigger than 1/4" diameter.
Superb November 11, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This brushcutter attachment, is beyond words--easy conversion, and with Poulan power it clears out areas you think would require a tractor--Great John Hart- Tallahassee
